Hi, I’m Kelsey! I live in Golden with my husband and our two doggos — Frankie & Howie. I’ve lived a few lives so welcome to my newest and most rewarding chapter!

I’ve been building and thinking about systems for the last decade as a Software Engineer at multiple startups, and before that, at the International Monetary Fund, where I began teaching myself to program so I could automate myself out of a job. :) After over a decade of being hunched over a computer and using trail running as my only physical outlet, I found my flow state in 2023 cleaning out a home affected by hoarding…and again organizing a friend’s shed…and then again organizing my husband’s countless tools.

I LOVE thinking about systems and spaces — how they make us feel, how they can be improved, and how they impact our well-being, our creativity, and our ability to thrive.

In 2019, I bought a 1200 square foot fixer-upper and did a night & weekend DIY renovation for 4.5 years while living in it and working remotely. I learned a lot about DIY home repair during this process, as well as all the tricks of the trade from my dad who’s been renovating homes for 30 years.

Now my husband and I live in 430 square feet, and I love it! To be clear, we do have garage storage and plenty of outdoor space, and I know it’s not for everyone, but it works for us right now.

I joke that I’m an “aspirational minimalist” but I have too many plants, books, and fun pieces of art to be one. However, living small has taught me to be very intentional about what things we have.

Our lives are busy, but our homes don’t have to be. I’d love to help you see what a lighter space feels like!
